We have some lovely settled weather in late summer. Loch Morlich near Aviemore always looks spectacular.

Most of the snow and ice disappeared from the Cairngorms by March, however there were still some patches, including this scenic frozen lochan near the summit of Ben Macdui.

The first signs of winter appeared in early October in the Cairngorms, with these snow formations at the summit of Ben Macdui.

Late heavy snowfall in April brought winter conditions back to Glen Affric.

I'd camped here the previous evening when it was thick mist, so it was a pleasant surprise to wake up to this sunshine next morning.
